Greetings, Vridarians.

We have a humble request. Does anyone out there have a PDF copy of Jonathan Z. Smith’s doctoral dissertation, The Glory, Jest and Riddle. James George Frazer and The Golden Bough (1969)? I thought I’d found it today, but it’s incomplete. This appears to be one of those oft-cited, rarely read works.

If you have access to a university level library, I’d suggest using their interlibrary loan service to go directly to Yale. Since that was where the dissertation was presented, they will have a copy. It may well cost you, but then, I suspect that any other full copy may well be very expensive as well. If you go to the source, you should be reasonably sure that you’ve got the whole thing. A gander at OCLC will tell the librarian what limitations you will meet.
