Comparing the Gospel of Peter with the Canonical Gospels

The table is very nice and helpful. I was struck by the fact that Peter seemed to be closer to Matthew than any of the other gospels.

It certainly appears to come closer in Matthew in its taste for the garishly miraculous. Gi-normous unearthly beings stretching out of tombs in GPeter, zombies walking around after a cosmic earthquake opened their tombs in Matthew.
